as soon as I logged in today I got a newly formatted webinar reminder that steals the focus of the entire browser window.
I don't know about you, but psuedo-popups are as bad as their real deal brethren. People invented blockers to curb them for a reason. If you need to resort to using these, there's probably a better way to do things, and I just wanted to voice my opinion that I think this is a step backwards.
Just finished making an update site-wide that will display a modal popup box if there is a future webinar event that you've not yet registered for.
This may require some tweaking, so please provide feedback.

If you respond to it, it's guaranteed he will see it and reply, and possibly change and/or fix.

Edit: I don't have it because it only shows if there's a scheduled webinar you haven't registered for, and I've registered for this one. After seeing what the thing looks like, I might be posting there too.
Hmm didn't even cross my mind as an issue. It has to do with the community we're a part of. It's not monetized in any way. I simply x'd out and went on my way, similar to what happens when I get a private message. I'm notified and then chose to enter the pm at that time or another time. Again, I don't see the issue here.
