At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors – all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you don’t need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

My Journal:

Serious Preparation for TopStepTrader - Exact Steps To Get Funded

https://futures.io/trading-journals/42554-serious-preparation-topsteptrader-exact-steps-get-funded.html

Enough dithering!!!

Its time to finally make a serious attempt at getting funded. Treating trading as a hobby has gone for too long. Its time to take this seriously enough and document the steps to take the real journey.

This is and will continue as the real story of a man who had almost nothing other than the intense desire to succeed.

Please press Thanks below if you feel this journal should win!

Poseidons 5 min ES Journal

My Journal

futures.io/trading-journals/41486-poseidons-5-min-es-s-p-500-futures-contract-journal.html

I post my preparation analysis before opening and my trades with comments when I’m done for the day. At the end of each month I post a summary with results and statitics. I try to be as transparent as possible and feedback is appreciated. After 5 month of discretionary sim-trading I belive that I have reached the break even level. Next step is to get profitable enough to pass the Top Step Trader Combine. So please support me with a 'Thanks' to this post.

My Method
  • I trade the ES 5 min chart for the first 2,5 hours of the RTH session.
  • Intraday swing trading, meaning that the reward to risk ratio >=2.0
  • Price action setups at support and resistance

Happy trading!
Poseidon

Hello fellow traders,

I'm entering the contest with my personal journal. My trading style is short term, price action and emotional pattern based. I do share a lot of inner thoughts, challenges, changes, ideas and lessons. I'm working with a combine to limit risk and create a realistic environment, while I work out many of the trading nuances and rewire habit patterns.

Journal: Wisdom is Emptiness

Your contribution with a Thanks will be helping to arrive at a goal of becoming a funded trader at TST.

Journal Trading Competition July 2017: Focus on the Top Tasks of Traders

Be a good trader is doing the good thing, which means focus on the proces and the Task of Top Trading.

So this challenge is the right challenge for me after a period of self-sabotage which kept me from being consistent profitable ..... and that is what I would like to achieve.

I am probably one of the few female trader here and also new on this platform, so guy..... I can use all your support

In my trading you will see the influence of Chris Boon (my trading mentor), Van Tharp, Ken Long and Rob Hoffman. They all have earned a lot of respect of a lot of traders in The Netherlands and in the world.
So out of respect for myself, my inspirators and my trading buddies I commit myself to focus on doing the right thing according to my tradingplan. My link to my daily report which I will start tomorrow: https://futures.io/trading-journals/42583-journal-trading-competition-july-2017-focus-top-tasks-traders.html#post647273
I will report my results expressed in R (1R = 10 point of risk in the DAX), my trades and my debriefing. I will also debrief myself on how well I performed on the Tasks of Top Trading (source: Van Tharp)

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

So to everybody: enjoy your trading! My intention will be to do it with grace, ease and joy
