futures io is the largest futures trading community on the planet, with over 90,000 members. At futures io, our goal has always been and always will be to create a friendly, positive, forward-thinking community where members can openly share and discuss everything the world of trading has to offer. The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors – all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you don’t need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

FIO Video Journal Challenge - April 2017 (over $2,000 in prizes)

Hi guys,

Continuing in the tradition of encouraging journals on FIO, I am announcing a new Journal contest for April 2017 -- with a twist: This is a Video Journal challenge featuring NinjaTrader!

This challenge will feature a large number of video posts. These recorded videos should feature your trading and not that of anyone else. You can record video of your charts, your setups, your real-time trades, your research/review, or other parts of your process.

FIO member @tturner86 created a very short demo of how-to record video for your journal:
https://futures.io/articles/trading/How-to-record-and-upload-a-video-journal

Read the above article for more information and help on creating a video journal.

If you have questions or need more help to create a video journal, ask for help in the below thread:
https://futures.io/tech-support/41835-help-creating-video-journal.html

The rules are extremely simple for this event:

a) The contest begins April 1 and ends April 30. All decisions made by futures.io are final.

b) This thread that you are reading right now will act as the repository for all journals that are entered into the contest.

c) The author of a journal can enter his/her futures.io journal into the contest by posting a link to his/her journal in this thread. Only the author of the journal can do this. Please post the link to the journal ONE TIME, AND ONE TIME ONLY in this thread.

d) In order to qualify as a NinjaTrader video journal, you need to regularly post videos of your trading (charts, setup, trades, research, review, etc) using the NinjaTrader platform. You can also make regular posts to your thread with screenshots, but a large number of your posts need to contain Video Journals in order to qualify. Upload the videos to YouTube using the #futuresio tag.

e) Members of futures.io will cast their votes for the best journals by using the "Thanks" button on the post that the journal author has made in this very thread. This is why it is very important the author of the journal make only one post, because only one post will be used to count the total number of "Thanks Received" in this thread, and that is how the winners will be decided. Members can vote for as many separate journals as they want by following the same procedure.

f) There will be three prizes awarded, based on the highest number of "Thanks Received" per the above. The prizes are (1) Lifetime license to NinjaTrader, and (2) 1-year annual license to NinjaTrader. I will post the full details of the NinjaTrader License prizes below.

Thank you to @NinjaTrader for sponsoring this event. You can find NinjaTrader on their website here:
https://ninjatrader.com

My goal with these contests is to encourage the journaling process, as I firmly believe the more you participate in the journal process, the better trader you will become.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. This thread will remain closed to posts until April 1st (contest start date).

Mike
