It is an axiomatic fact that while you meditate you are speaking with your own spirit. In that state of mind you put certain questions to your spirit and the spirit answers: the light breaks forth and the reality is revealed.

Ron, thanks for clarification.

You can also use #futuresio in the title and descriptions of your videos. This will make them easier to find via the hashtag.

Hey guys,

Well it seems I miscalculated the interest or technical difficulty of making a Video Journal challenge. The last journal challenge had dozens of entries and a lot of interest, but this one has virtually none. It seems the video requirement is what people are having difficulty with.

So, three trading days into the event, given this info, I am forced to cancel this Video Journal challenge.

What we will do is to re-issue this in a few weeks, beginning in May, as a normal Journal Challenge -- without the video requirement, with the same prizes.

I want to thank the few people that did make the effort the last three trading days to make a video journal. I hope you will continue your efforts, I personally found a video journal to be very beneficial to my own trading.

Please let me know your feedback.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

I also want to thank @NinjaTrader for sponsoring, and agreeing to give away the same prizes in May for the "normal" journal challenge.

Honestly I like videos and make many for FIO talking about this or that. For me it's an easier way to communicate and get my meaning across because so much of communication is non-verbal with vocal inflection etc.

The reason I didn't sign up for this challenge is because it's a prize I already own considering the extra work/time I put into video editing etc.

Please......Is there a version of this Video Journal Challenge with a alternate prize for owners of Ninjatrader?

Maybe a small Amazon gift card or a book? For me it doesn't have to be some big prize.

I would really like @Big Mike to continue with this challenge as it is instead of postponing it or changing the nature of the contest. I think the real reason people are not participating is because they already own the lifetime version of NinjaTrader hence there is no benefit in participation.

Please @Big Mike continue the contest AND perhaps offer alternate prizes like TST combines or Jigsaw Tools or NT Brokerage rebates.

And I will do my part by trying to motivate all my friends, acquaintances and mentors on futures.io to start their video journals and submit their entries - late entries are after all allowed.

Thanks @NinjaTrader and @Big Mike.

Please - I am bursting to pour out my creative self - what about you folks?

Video Journal Challenge cancel

I am going to continue posting videos with my trades. Until the end of the month or until my rules for the challenge are broken.
