The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors – all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you don’t need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

FIO Journal Challenge - February 2017 (over $1,100 in prizes)

Hi guys,

Continuing in the tradition of encouraging journals on FIO, I am announcing a new Journal contest for February 2017.

The rules are extremely simple:

a) The contest begins February 1 and ends February 28. All decisions made by futures.io are final.

b) This thread that you are reading right now will act as the repository for all journals that are entered into the contest.

c) The author of a journal can enter his/her futures.io journal into the contest by posting a link to his/her journal in this thread. Only the author of the journal can do this. Please post the link to the journal ONE TIME, AND ONE TIME ONLY in this thread.

d) Members of futures.io will cast their votes for the best journals by using the "Thanks" button on the post that the journal author has made in this very thread. This is why it is very important the author of the journal make only one post, because only one post will be used to count the total number of "Thanks Received" in this thread, and that is how the winners will be decided. Members can vote for as many separate journals as they want by following the same procedure.

e) There will be three prizes awarded, based on the highest number of "Thanks Received" per the above. The prizes are a free 150K Combine in TopstepTrader's program, a $375 value (each). I will post the full details of the 150K Combine below, or you can visit TopstepTrader's website for more information.

Thank you to @TopstepTrader for sponsoring this event. You can ask questions about their program here:
https://futures.io/vendors-product-reviews/25776-topsteptraders-michael-patak-president-ask-me-anything-ask-me-anything.html

My goal with these contests is to encourage the journaling process, as I firmly believe the more you participate in the journal process, the better trader you will become.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. This thread will remain closed to posts until February 1st (contest start date).

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

A journal about my strategy and ultimately my trades on the Ger30/DAX. I am curious how long I will be able to keep it up!

From Average To Great!

Hello Traders,

I would like to enter my journal into the competition for the following reasons:

I love to compete!
I'm currently trading a TST combine to gain a backing from Top Step and a little extra wind would be awesome!
I believe that public journaling has a tremendous growth and accountability value, so hopefully my journal motivates you to create yours and keep it going as well.

Currently I trade the ES on a day trading basis with a Volume Profile, Price Action and Orderflow framework.

Here's the link where you can check it out: https://futures.io/elite-trading-journals/30687-average-great.html

Good luck to all!

M

Poseidons 5 min ES Journal

I will start today to trade the ES 5 min chart discretionary (in simulation mode) during the first two hours of the regular session. I will post my preparation analysis before opening and a chart with my trades and comments when I’m done for the day. Comments and feedback is appreciated!

https://futures.io/trading-journals/41486-poseidons-5-min-es-s-p-500-futures-contract-journal.html

Rules
  • Trade the type of day (Trend or TR) and S/R levels (not patterns).
  • Daily discretionary pre-session analysis to:
    - form an initial bias for the type of day and direction
    - identify important S/R levels
  • Trade according to initial bias and S/R levels until invalidated

My goal is one month of profitable SIM-trading. Then I will try to pass the Top Step Trader Combine.

Best regards and happy trading!
/Poseidon
