I think the FIO specific awards are an excellent idea, and I look forward to the results.
I'm concerned that the non-FIO specific awards though are little more than polls to see which product people currently use. Take for example 'Data Feed of the Year'. How many people have more than one? How many people compare them? Of course if your not collocated what you think of your data feed is probably highly influenced by your internet connection, whether you know it or not.

Maybe something more satisfaction or scored based, ie rate your 'data provider' on a scale of 1 to 5, and then do it on average rating. Obviously need to have a minimum number of people participate for each category

you might have an innovative side as well ....people who produce things ie indicators/posts that no one else has done on a platform etc...so that instead of getting the same ole same ole indicators there is incentive to produce something that is not the norm and think outside the box a bit.... like Sim22 has produced a few that haven't been seen before on nt8 or nt7.
