My apologies, I thought i implied that when i said it could be due to me using a new samsung Galaxy s8+, but yes I would like to clarify that it is for Android.
I will try to record my screen and show this problem. perhaps that will help Big Mike know the exact problem.
Here is the video where it shows what I am experiencing:

Not sure if my software version matters but its 7.0 Nougat,
Edit: So in short, when clicking on an image to view it, and then going back using whichever button either my phone's back button or the apps, it takes me to the very last page of the thread, or the very first page of the thread (if that was the option i had selected in the settings page in the app). Rather what it should do is once i press back, take me back to the post i was just reading on the page i was (which in this video is page 615) Now just to reiterate, this is the futures io app downloaded from google play store, and it is updated to the most recent version and i am not using futures io through tapatalk app.
Now I am aware of Big Mike's condition and busy workload right now, so I'm not trying to bump or keep urging him to fix this, but whenever he gets a chance to take a look into this bug/ glitch/ whatever you want to call it. Best wishes to your health and speedy recover on the back pain / surgeries.
Have you tried the back button (keyboard) vs the back arrow (top left of app)? Please let me know, after which depending on your answer I will open a ticket with the developer.
Yeah I tried both buttons, and still it does the same thing. Do let me know if you need another video showing that, maybe if it helps the developer? :/
Best way you could help me honestly is if you made a video with audio, keeping it short like your other one, and put it on YouTube so I can send that to the dev. I am not in my office right now, and if I could just send a youtube link that would really help me.
Devs report being unable to duplicate the issue, and are asking what version of our app you are running? Please visit the play store and ensure you are running the latest version -- currently 5.3.12.
