@Big Mike is this guy a zombie bot? @Itchymoku and us have noticed odd behaviors. One post, one chat and they have been here for years... They usually post something stupid... Any ideas?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
It usually happens once a day, sometimes they take a day or two off. Never a welcome greeting or anything other than just posting their name or an obscure trading related word or two. They never respond or make any subsequent posts. Most of the time they're elite too.
I don't know, It really doesn't make sense lol. Why would anyone go to the length of making these accounts randomly just to post a word or two and then never post again. You'd think if they just wanted the indicators they could use one account.
I've experienced this happening probably at least 30 or more times. I guess we should start reporting it.
Maybe some elaborate joke who knows.

You are saying this is happening with other random accounts (not this one)? I think it's all normal, I don't see people paying $100 to post crap and then get permanently banned for it.
If you see it again, be certain to use Report Post. That is the only way it gets logged and tracked.
I took researcher247 and Jeff Castille off the list because I noticed they have active accounts. Originally when I made the list I just went back and captured everyone's alias through some pages of the archieve that just posted their name. It seems that people thought it was funny and would post their name as a joke to mimic these bots and add humor. Seems like an ongoing joke that originated before I became active in the chat room.

Maybe it's nothing and just a coincidence with there being thousands of members that some people will feel compelled to just post their name or a couple words and then never post again. Originally I thought it was people posting their own password or other people's passwords. I don't know, But I'll post when it happens again on this thread as it keeps up because it does happen frequently.

They usually only post in the chat. The albrooks user did the same.
One post to chat with their name or trading word, maybe one post and that is it. They also tend to be elites. It seems odd because a few like this user have been here since 2009, no post or chat until today.
