Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

This is what I'm working on right now.. The idea is that trading is a maze and futures.io (formerly BMT) is the "way out".. This is very preliminary so I'm just fishing for suggestions here. If this is WAAAAYY off base let me know and I'll drop it and move on.

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

P.S. I took a font from fontspace.com and modified it. The font is free for commercial use. It can be found here http://www.fontspace.com/ideoma-design/ideoma-liner

I actually just changed it to this:

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Not really finding the visual interest with this one though, so I think I might move on.

..now the path is showing a more visible and lisible logo.
I like the arrow up. As this line is mostly used on "success-sites" I would recommend to
try to exchange the line with japanese candlesticks to show it is a "trader's platform and to
combine it with the exploding arrow's top.
Maybe a smoother font for the background could make it even "rounder". Like the Bodoni bold
for example.
Just some thoughts.

I'm having a hard time imagining what you mean by combining the candlesticks with the arrow. Can you post a sketch to give me an idea?

As for the font, I'm trying to stay within the "hard edges" direction Mike mentioned, so I'm trying to keep it as clean as possible. If I get more support for changing the font I'll change it but for now I'm keeping it. Also right now I'm just throwing ideas out there; if there's enough support for one particular thing I'll refine it, but right now I'm trying to put content out without worrying about perfection too much.
