Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

I have temporarily disabled SPDY, so those on Chrome should be able to now use multiple concurrent connections. I'm still investigating why this is happening, the configuration should be identical to that on the production site/server, but obviously something is different somewhere... (nginx config)

Mike

This is fabulous now! Way to go. 3 parallel downloads and can't even tell any impact.

Now... about that image doubling, it's like this:

I made a test quoted reply of Tasker's post as follows:

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Note the double displayed 'image(s)' actually got fully quoted.

Now, if I then right click on the top 'image' in my post, I get this tab displayed, note url (back to OLD futures.io (formerly BMT)):

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Whereas if I right click on the bottom image (the one that seems real since the mouse cursor changes from arrow to finger) I get this, again note url:

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Don't get the 'Sorry we can't find that' Tab text at all now, but what's the story with doubled images then? Why the generation of the link back to old futures.io (formerly BMT)?

And can you get the known issues list back on the Beta front page please?

Cheers

@ratfink It's included as part of "Critical #1".

I've got IPB working on it as well as a custom dev, between the two hope to find a solution to eliminate the duplicate images.

As for the URL of the image, it will be fixed before we go live. It's part of "Critical #1".

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Ok, great.

Btw, just noticed this in the Chrome network dev stuff:

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Seems relevant, but maybe no longer so, judging by the performance today.

Cheers

TPTB want me to revert back and do yet another conversion to try and fix the "cannot access last page" issue. It seems some query wasn't run properly during the last two upgrades, although I am unsure why it would suddenly work this time, but they want me to try running it manually during the process.

So, will be off-line tonight as I go through all that again.

The Powers That Be

Background tasks running now and I need to re-configure forum permissions for the 100th time, but beta site will be back up in a couple hours or so. Not sure if anything was solved this time or not, I manually ran the SQL queries which IPS told me was the problem with the wrong 'last page' in some threads.

I know the acronym, I just thought maybe you'd achieved some sort of elevated watchlist status....

100 replies into my IPS support ticket, I am just getting a bit tired as we've only just begun this whole process.

Guys, most the background tasks are still running -- so it means broken quotes, images, etc, but I need for someone to login and test to see if the 'last page' thread issue is fixed or not (it always works for my account).

This way I can report the result to IPS before they leave for the day.
