Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

I would like to suggest for the new futures.io (formerly BMT) 5.0 that posting time be the "actual" post time instead of "hours ago" for the first 24 hours.

Case in point is trying to recap the "Spoo-nalysis" thread. Some one makes a post referring to a trade entry and the post says posted 17 hours ago. I want to concentrate on the post's content and context to the market at that time, but am distracted having to compute the actual time of the post (present - hours ago). Also "hours ago" means within the hour period, and is not precise enough for the fast action that takes place on the thread. Although the post time is always delayed from a referenced action, the actual time of the post can be a valuable reference to the reader.

The current beta still uses the 12 hours ago method at the moment.

I am not sure what should be there, but I don't see anything about time zone or location.

Profile editing - just ongoing permissions problem?

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

I sent more details to IPB last night. I cannot edit the Elite Members usergroup due to some error in the Admin CP, they will have to look at it and determine why (no reply on the weekends from them). So I can't enable profile editing for right now, or some other fixes.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Posting to thread worked ok, and added attachments ok, browse or drag/drop.

Noticeable there is no Preview option.

Avatar ok but what is the weird little image under the MW title? Custom title default
Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

maybe?

Correct, there is no preview any more. I realize it's a change, but the new editor is designed so that the preview is as you type (WYSIWYG). I will make further enhancements to their editor before we go into production with futures.io (formerly BMT) v5, of one particular item is I want to make it easier to drag images/files. Currently you have to drag them to a specific location in the editor, I want to be able to drag them anywhere inside the editor page.

There is some sort of broken image in the style under everyone's username. Just ignore it for now, the style will be completely redone for futures.io (formerly BMT).

Notification Settings - "Automatically follow content" did not update from old site.

Saves to settings work fine.

Subscriptions:

Notification Settings - Content I Follow: Subscribed Threads (Topics) did not convert.
Members I Follow did convert Friends list.

Profile:

Profile - Attempt to change Options for Followers and to Enable Recent Profile Visitors got error message.

Profile - "Profile Customization" from previous conversion (pre-IPB 4) no longer available.

Bob.

The subscribed threads is on our known list. It will be custom dev work to get it converted over.

Profile customization is a known issue right now.

I have tried other journals and they all seem to work fine, just yours Mike.

Is anyone else having that problem? It seems to work fine for me:
