I was thinking of showing people that are currently replying, like it shows the thread title but then "typing..." Like a text message or WhatsApp.

If you mean add the text "Typing..." on the same line in the activity flow as the thread and user name (which I guess you do), that sounds awesome.

Hey that's really cool. Works great on PC. I tried it on mobile, but it just makes the page shake, and there is nothing there. Mobile probably can't
handle that script.

Try again on mobile. I had to change to click instead of hover, but basically your click enables/disables.
