I've been looking into ways to summarize content using GPT. Below is an example from a thread with 26 posts:

# cat text-sum_38072.html
The text discusses the Remek trading system in the NexusFi community. Key points include:

- The system uses Bloodhound templates, Harry's Coral filter, trigger lines, and BH hybrid bars.
- The strategy aims to identify peak/trough in mean rotation pullback for trend entry.
- Criticisms include lack of significant edge, slow switch from long to short, and questionable auto setting.
- Trades posted on their blog are simulated and appear selective.
- The speaker has no affiliation or interest in the company.
- Members are considering purchasing the software and seek feedback from current users.
- The software provides consistency and precision in trading, particularly in shorter timeframes.
- The community is interested in understanding the current performance of the Remek System.

Here is the actual thread:

It will support larger threads, using a sliding window technique.

Let me know if you find this interesting.

Another, it identified three distinct conversations:

---

Topic: Allegations against Futures Analytica and its founder

- Evidence of founder using SIM/Playback data overlay in a trading video
- Claims of system backed by peer-reviewed science proven false
- Lack of transparency and refusal to share system settings
- Reports of deleting negative comments and ignoring support requests
- Warning against purchasing Futures Analytica system due to inconsistent results

Topic: Review of Futures Analytica products

- Use of Volumetric Bars in AnalyticaChart3 and Polarity ATI
- Negative reviews on deceptive marketing and product effectiveness
- Alleged shady practices; no trials or refunds
- Tools deemed simple and overpriced
- No trial period for Polarity ATI

Topic: Comparison of order flow tools

- Gomi offers a 2-week trial, Futures Analytica doesn't
- Differences in imbalance minimum values between Gomi and Futures Analytica
- Concerns about purchasing from Futures Analytica without demo
- Questions on Futures Analytica's accuracy and lack of customer support.

Please tell me, is this a useful tool? What do you think?

This is interesting. It would be useful if the bullet points could include links to the source posts. Since the collating engine is PHP code, I wonder if it could extract and cache the URL of the post it's drawing from.

It's driven by a thread. The three or four examples I showed are from different threads.

In the Spoos thread and other big ones, it's only including the last 100 posts into the summary.

What exactly do you mean by links and extracting URLs?

My thought was to place this overview at the top of threads like the other summary stats already there.

What exactly do you mean by links and extracting URLs?

For example, the bullet point "Potential relief rally and target levels for the market discussed" would include a link to the post where that was discussed.

Possible alternative is hotlink phrases like "Negative gamma effects"

I won't try to guess how doable that is, just suggesting what would be useful to me.

That would be be a good enticement for members to become a Follower of the thread. But I wouldn't find it useful if I had to hunt through 100 posts to find the topic that grabbed me.

Ok I see, yes it would be nice to hyperlink to sources. Due to the way the context window works, I'm not sure I can do this, but will try!

I am also finding this useful. With some threads that I have not yet read, but are on my stack and are large, a summary like this would probably be useful not only for the last 100 posts, but maybe, say, each 100 posts from the beginning to the end. I dont know whether such potentially long summaries would look OK on the first page of the thread, so such larger overviews could maybe be shown in a separate window when the user clicks a button "Give me a brief of the whole thread".
