FIO definitely misbehaving, weird one this morning, I'm getting good response on the main page and all new threads from 'New Posts' but can't access an old thread:

All others fine, do you you any sort of archiving/recall/offloading scheme for older threads?

Thanks Terry! Stored URL was from BMT days and must have got miss-edited by yours truly, should have spotted that one.

Maybe it is just me but it seems as if in the last few days the initial loading of the site takes longer.

I've tried it on 4 different computers with the same result.
I thought maybe it was because of the site change and it was not in my cache but it seems as if even after visiting the site and then coming back, it is still slower.

I can't say it is so slow it is unusable but it is slower than normal.
No fix needed for me, just wanted to report it incase others have this issue.

I've noticed this too, and am trying to figure it out. It seems only to home page, the rest to me is actually faster, especially Downloads section.

A few months ago or so I noticed an odd thanks count, can't remember exactly on whose thread, but this new user had been thanked a few times and his thanks received count was off, by a handful of thanks.

Today I've come across this again here.

You can clearly see this user has posted only once, and has two thanks. However, his 'Thanks received' count is only 1.

That's a known issue that is fixed when users make new posts, but in this case he is banned so it isn't fixed over time.

I am making some database changes tonight, please report any problems. The site may be slow or unresponsive for the next few minutes as these changes commit.

Well, I ruled out the chatbox and the Top 20 block -- neither are the culprit. The rest of the homepage is more difficult to troubleshoot, I'll see what I can do.

Found the problem. It's the Question box on homepage, I'll need to try to look at the sql query tomorrow and see what I can do to optimize.

It's a really complex query beyond my expertise, so I've reached out to an expert to help solve it. Will update once a fix is in place.

Some tweaks tonight for guests (not logged in) with our cache settings. Shouldn't make any impact to any signed in member.
