Hi Mike,

I just registered for Linda's webinar tomorrow. Then, since I had the feedback buttons on the screen, I clicked on "Yes, I like this topic" and I got the page to enter what I thought of it:




Of course, I can't give it a rating on items 2 and 3, because I haven't seen it yet. I'll be wanting to do that after the event.

(Good job on the colors on the stars btw. The half-steps are very clear now.)

First, did you submit this after taking the screenshot? Because I did not receive a feedback matching yours.

As for the questions being relevant... yes... the initial thought was to gather feedback on the topic itself, independent of the actual quality of the webinar in the end. I wanted that to be a separate feedback after the recording is posted or after the live event is done.

To that end, I am still working on that part - it will be in the form of a follow-up email, that will replace the email people currently receive from GoToWebinar. But I haven't coded that yet.

Can some of you on iOS please click this link from a mobile device, and confirm it opens the Apple Store?

For those on Android, it should open the Play Store.

Hi guys,

Today I spent some time to further enhance the feedback form for our newsletters and our events.

You'll see an additional section appear at the bottom of the feedback form when you are reviewing a webinar recording. Just to be clear, there are multiple event types -- one for example is an email about an upcoming event or a webinar. You can tell us if you like it or not.

The other, for example, is a follow-up webinar recap newsletter, which shows several recent webinars and asks for your feedback on each. This type of feedback lets you tell us about the actual content of the webinar itself (best, worst).

I also made some improvements to our algorithm for selecting who receives the email newsletter. If you are an active member, you should not see any change in behavior and continue to receive the emails so long as you've not unsubscribed.

Today I re-wrote our email newsletter template (again) to be more HTML5 compliant, and hopefully fix some rendering errors. I've tested it on several platforms, but I would like your feedback please.
