It feels much better now - concerning the thanks.
The crucial thing is: we see too many different blue tones in one post now.

The path is right. And gives some hints for the next generation of the forum.

In the last version, the color was the same shade of blue that was the title bar of each post. But it blended in too much, so was changed to this lighter color which appears in other areas (reusing the same color).

In the old theme, the color was completely different and did not appear anywhere else on the entire site.

So I guess ultimately, it's always going to be "too many" of something, or it's going to blend in. If you have a specific color combination suggestion please post the HTML dec codes and I can take a look.

I got a notification email at 3:30 PM (EST), so it's working for me.

That brings up a question - is there a way to make the posts in threads show the actual time posted (in our local TZ) vs '4 Hours ago', if it's less than 24 hours old?

Also, while looking for the answer in the Edit Options, I found a page that's giving an error a bit hard to read:

I am having a bit of sentiment for the old thanks, but your recent change is way better than the one I criticised.

Since it seems the plan is to get a flat look of the new fio here are some outliers from the uniform look:
- SEARCH (upper right corner) rounded both button and stackpanel
- rounded facebook, youtube and twitter buttons
- different font size even in the same panel (eg. Trading Forum Chatbox)
