Welcome to futures io.

(If you already have an account, login at the top of the page)

futures io is the largest futures trading community on the planet, with over 100,000 members. At futures io, our goal has always been and always will be to create a friendly, positive, forward-thinking community where members can openly share and discuss everything the world of trading has to offer. The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors – all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you don’t need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Ditto for me as well (re post #2096).

Thanks, I'll keep looking and report back when ready to test again.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.

@NJAMC,

No one else has reported this, and I cannot duplicate it. In fact, I cannot find where we use that font anywhere on the site. Perhaps this is why it works in Firefox but not Chrome, you are using some sort of third-party extension that is modifying our site? I even did a system-wide grep for keyword 'gstatic' to try to see where this is coming from, but so far don't find any evidence it is from us.

You could first try using Chrome Incognito mode (most third-party tools are disabled by default in Incognito mode), and see if you can reproduce the problem.

Second, does this happen on any other page? Preferably a non-private message URL, so I can test the exact URL on my side.

Last -- is anyone else experiencing this problem? -- No one has reported it, but maybe some people could manually check reproducing your steps to see if they also get console errors.

Also, you can clear your Chrome cache entirely to ensure there is no residual leftover issue somewhere on your side (this has happened to me on other sites (not FIO) preventing me from using their site until I cleared my cache).

Mike

@Big Mike,

Ingognito does not show the problem so I must have something as an add-in that is causing the problem (It could be Avast or something like that messing with the Security). I got this listed in the console on this page:

Code
Powered by AMP ⚡ HTML – Version 1907152257550 https://futures.io/feedback-announcements/2497-futures-io-forum-changelog-211.html
amp-inabox.js:147 Powered by AMP ⚡ HTML – Version 1907152257550 https://futures.io/feedback-announcements/2497-futures-io-forum-changelog-211.html
The fonts appear to be Google Fonts, not sure if you load them or not directly. Could be through Google Ads or something. This is where the fonts.gstatic.com is coming from. Likely my anti-virus software watching the web traffic blocking the non-https load. You can find this reference here:
https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq

Search the page for gstatic it is about 1/2 down the page. Really not sure there is an action for you to take here, but more of an FYI. I tried disabling Anti-virus, but I might not be flushing the cashe as it still shows. My guess is the fonts are embedded into a script by Double Click or Google Ads..

No worries, it isn't impacting my browser any longer and can edit and respond to messages.

NOTE: The test was done on this page....

Well, the thing is that most severs in the last few years should automatically be configured to upgrade insecure requests to prevent the mixed content block message. It's a server setting. Ours is already enabled.

So that means a third party is injecting code into our site, and is doing it in a bad way that could at the very least use the URI of // instead of protocol://, so that http stays http:// and https:// stays https://.

In this case, the problem is something on your side and not FIO.

Minor change, my other site www.bmcharts.com which I use only for myself, will now have its images directly embedded under the primary futures.io domain.

For example:

This URL:
Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

Is originally coming from bmcharts, but being internally redirected to futures.io. This is just to save DNS queries and boost performance, and possibly a boost for SEO since bmcharts is closed/private anyway.

I am only sharing this because if you see any problems with broken images, please report it. Over the years, I've integrated bmcharts more and more into the site out of convenience so just need to ensure I didn't break anything.

It appears to be just Blash's thread... I made a post on Bob's thread and it is showing up. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it... same error.

I believe I've fixed the problem, please let me know.

Yes, the plugin code wasn't decoding Unicode correctly, I imagine this was the same with the old server? Simple fix to switch to Unicode function in code.

Indeed it was, I meant to mention it a while back but forgot because I'm old like that

Corrected edge case scenario where an automatic bounce (non-deliverable) email wasn't being unsubscribed from the email list in all cases (in the case where they used a forwarding service and the forwarding service bounced, not matching our original recorded email).

Unsubscribes are important, and we do our best to make them effortless and prominent on emails. So please report any problems with unsubscribes.
