Welcome to futures io.

(If you already have an account, login at the top of the page)

futures io is the largest futures trading community on the planet, with over 100,000 members. At futures io, our goal has always been and always will be to create a friendly, positive, forward-thinking community where members can openly share and discuss everything the world of trading has to offer. The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors Ė all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you donít need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Here is that file and related error message....

I can't post any attachments no matter the size it seems. I get the same error every time.

Here they are as links.... (honestly I can never get screencast links to work either so I always post a pic file instead)

Error retrieving image, please check URL again (matched: "")

Testing these attachments...

OK Ron, first thanks for bringing this to my attention. I was able to duplicate the HTTP 413 error. It is a result of me altering a setting on our web server, and now I've undone that change and put it back to the old value.

I confirmed this solved the upload problem. This would affect anyone trying to upload large files.

Generally speaking, people use JPG's for screenshots because they are very small -- like 100kb maybe, instead of a BMP which is a lossless format and 20-30x times larger. If you need lossless, you should use PNG instead of BMP, it's far more efficient.

Regardless, even though BMP is not popular, someone would have had the same problem if they were uploading a large ZIP or RAR archive file. So thank you, it is now fixed.

For the screencast problem, I will have to look into that -- but I suspect it's because you are using BMP's and they cannot be embedded correctly. I think it should work fine with JPG or PNG.

Glad together we made FIO that much better....I never even pay attention to what type of file my screen captures with Snagit save as ..... shame on me.... from now on I will.... I want to have a light foot print out of respect for you in terms of storage space... benefits me too to use JPG or PNG as I never really delete these pics off my machines and they just take up HD space.

Thank you for making me more aware of file sizes.

Ron

It is an axiomatic fact that while you meditate you are speaking with your own spirit. In that state of mind you put certain questions to your spirit and the spirit answers: the light breaks forth and the reality is revealed.

I just realized this, the issue with the screencast bbcode not working for me might be a problem with the code itself, right? I place a url between the codes beginning and end not a file type.

Sometimes I have noticed, at least in the tapatalk white labeled iPhone app, a space gets somehow added to the front of the url and whatever code Iím using doesnít work. But I donít see that problem here with the screencast code.

Does anyone else have an issue with the screencast bbcode?

Tough one to test if you donít use a Techsmith product and their screencast site.

We are welcoming on board a new site sponsor, Earn2Trade, and they are offering a special Elite Members discount as follows:

Receive 25% off The Gauntletô, or receive 30% off the Bootcamp program

Full details are here as always:
https://futures.io/elite_membership/

We will be creating a new AMA thread for Earn2Trade in the next few days. Please look for that if you have any questions you want to ask about their products and services.

As always, futures.io has made special arrangements with these companies to provide discounted services for FIO Elite Members. These discounts are only offered to Elite Members.

Note: futures.io does NOT receive compensation for these referrals, we simply worked out these special deals to help our Elite Members who have chosen to support the site. Even though we believe these are great products and services, you should always do your own research before doing business with a company.

Here are all the current deals.

OK I've duplicated the issue. Due to the age of this, I have no idea what broke this because I don't know what was changed a year ago.... I'll have to send off to our programmer to try and figure out, it's one of hundreds of our plugins that is causing an error somehow.

Hi guys,

It is my pleasure to announce that @tturner86 and @xplorer are now Super Moderators on futures io. They are now wearing blue for their username

In our nine year history, we've primarily had just myself and @sam028 moderating the site. But I feel it is time to expand that, and @tturner86 and @xplorer are excellent choices that have demonstrated their value to the community.

They will help us deal with spammers even quicker than before, so please continue to hit the "Report Post" feature when you encounter a problem post, so our team can deal with it.

Thank you,
Mike
