futures io is the largest futures trading community on the planet, with over 100,000 members. At futures io, our goal has always been and always will be to create a friendly, positive, forward-thinking community where members can openly share and discuss everything the world of trading has to offer. The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors Ė all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you donít need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

The notifications are hard to tell. They don't stand out when I logon. I have missed many until I randomly decide to look there.

Agree on that. I hadn't realized it, but after I read this post, I went looking for my notifications (had to locate them) and found I had 6 that I had not seen.

Maybe it's just where they are, and perhaps it's just that I am still looking at the old place, not the new location. Used to be upper left, now top right. If that's it, I'll probably get used to it in time. But they also definitely don't stand out.

But I think the upper left is still a better location. There are other things there that I would naturally look at, and it makes sense to have everything together.

Bob.

Yup. This is something I'm investigating improving now as well.

1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.

@Big Mike

Mike, something I've just noticed:

the red dotted square that surrounds new posts as they are being added now seems to disappear after a while, check this out

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

You will see the new post down the bottom while reading much older stuff, but the notification that tells you 'this is a recent post...' etc. is gone

BTW - it may or may not have to do with the post being edited.

Is this by design?

Yeah, @SMCJB, checked one step further and found the issue. On Dec 9th 9:27pm you marked one of our emails as spam with Yahoo.

When a user marks us as spam, we instantly stop emailing them so they cannot inflict further damage to our reputation. Instead, always use the unsubscribe links inside each email.

For now, I have removed your block.

Mike

My apologies. If I did do that it was unintentional. Sounds like a good process on your end. Thanks for re-enabling me. All working again now.

There was a small issue with Internet Explorer. I believe I have fixed it now (and pray no one actually uses IE anyway...)

One of the beta testers helped me check on iPad, and I am concerned this change MAY have impacted iPad. Can that tester please test again and let me know?

Is this by design?

That behavior existed on the old theme as well and is caused when someone edits a new post.

So if they make a new post, and no edits, the notification banner remains.

If they make a new post, then edit it, the notification banner gets lost for the 'live thread' feature.

All of that is completely rewritten in the new framework, we won't be fixing issues in this version.

I have not read many posts on this or other threads on the new forum design, so forgive my ignorance if this has been discussed.

Has there been any thought to making new posts push updates to the forum new posts page. Would make it more convenient, at least for me

New development is focused solely on the new framework. See the new framework thread
