Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

not sure if you have answered this but are all the BMT videos going to be posted to youtube, including all the old ones? if not, are you going to put them up in a non flash player version but still restricted to elite members?

Discussed in the new framework thread I think, but no not everything on YouTube. Elite content will be HtML5 videos.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

sounds good. im guessing this wont happen till the new site happens? also, how come some are on youtube and some are not? well, what qualifies one for youtube is a better question.

Old ones are hosted by us. New ones on YouTube. Going forward everything hosted by us, YouTube will be a mirror of some but not all.

request Link to recent webinar discussions under "Trading Webinars / Videos"

Hi Mike and board developers,

Is it possible to add a link to the discussion thread of recent or all past webinars under:
https://futures.io/webinars/ ?

I find upcoming webinars and past VIDEOS easily,
but the DISCUSSIONS are all over the board (some under vendors, some other-where).

Before the event the Discussion thread for Q&A is there , but not AFTER the live event.

I don't know if this could be done easily and what the workload is.
So take it as a suggestion.

TY

Sounds like a solid idea to me as well.

Yes, that's one of my favourites too.

While we're busy trashing @bobwest's journal, one of my real fave's is to store bookmark links using the '-new-post.html' ending, that does the same as 'New' but from any browser link button.

e.g.

https://www.futures.io/elite-trading-journals/31225-two-pints-dax-please-new-post.html

Is a bookmark button link for the first new post or the last post in my journal.

Cheers
[sorry Bob, maybe we should have a FIO best tips area, but knowing Mike there's already something like that but we've forgotten about it.]

Odd behavior - when I click on ratfink's link above, I get this screenshot although I am logged in

From my experience it is something to do with a login for the non-elite section and a login for the elite section, but don't quote me, I just know that I can reproduce it 100% of the time if I use the same sequence after clearing cookies, and Mike has said he knows there are issues in that area. I'll edit the example link I used to be for the Spoos thread instead, just to avoid this for anybody else, interesting that you encountered it too.

No known issue that I can recall, it's something to do with the cookie on your side if you are being asked to log in again or if you are receiving a no permission error. Best guess is something is disabled in your browser regarding cookies.

What you can do is clear all *.bigmiketrading.com and *.futures.io cookies manually and then login and try again, but there is no known issue that would cause this problem. Try turning off all third party blockers on your side.
