Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

When this happens, and F5/reload doesn't solve it, try doing Ctrl-Shift-N for new incognito window. This will disable your extensions, unless you specifically have allowed them in incognito mode. I am thinking maybe one of your extensions is the culprit here.

Mike

Ok will try but I usually have zilch extensions, will look into this though, thanks.

Just caught the other one as you were posting:

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

I seem to think Chrome'ies have done some sort of rendering rearchitecting lately, caught an enforced field trial on a machine last week, not sure if it's connected or not.

Carefully (as an expert) use this address in chrome:

chome://flags

Then you'll see some options for rendering and GPU stuff. You can try changing them.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

That's a sh*tload of flags, even more than I write, I'll stick with hitting the 'reset all to default' button for now.

(I think they should have been anyway, but I'll still see if it goes away.)

Sorry for the 15-20 mins of downtime today. First downtime in 238 days.

It was my fault, I accidentally copied something to the wrong server and the production server ran out of disk space, crashing it.

Futures Edge on FIO

Big Mike View Post
I've made it so that News and Current Events updates (new posts) will no longer show up on the forum homepage next to the chatbox. This is because recently this subforum has seen a lot of activity which not everyone is interested in seeing.

Mike

Just found this. @Big Mike, is this the reason why posts and threads in News and Current Events also do not show up when I check all my posts/threads?

Documented here https://futures.io/feedback-announcements/38957-fio-forum-alerts.html#post562248

This morning for the past 2:30 hours the server has been under extreme load due to a DDoS attack. I've mitigated it for now and everything should be back to normal.

Maybe one of those guys who got banned. They sometimes vow revenge....

Glad it didn't work.

Basically a group of IP addresses were exploiting the site in such a way it caused a very high load. No damage or anything, just sporadic disruption of service due to extreme load on the server.

I would love to auto mitigate in the future, but this was somewhat complicated to detect. Maybe on the new server and new framework.
