Never for this one. Due to my illness I could not make this happen in a timely manner, the amount of work involved to create the voting system is many many hours, and it came at a time when I was very ill. So unfortunately, this thread is all we have for year 2012.
I don't think it's too late at all, can someone in the community help with a voting system. I, for one, would love to help. I think it would be a mistake to let this go, personally. I think it's a very useful part of the site, one that I refer back to now and again.
Reconsider?

If there is no need for authentication (ie: futures.io (formerly BMT) users only) then the quickest option would be to use something like Anonymous Doodle: ADoodle.org - Anonymous Doodle

Hey guys.
I finally have the new polls product in-place which will cut the amount of time needed by half. So what I plan to do this week is to go ahead and create all the polls necessary for the voting of "futures.io (formerly BMT) Best of Trading 2012". I realize it is five months late, but I thought about it, and it's better to have it five months late than not at all.
So I will be working on this over the course of this week and will let you know when the voting is ready.
The polls will close May 31st. Winners will be announced June 1st.
Please keep in mind, only nominations for calendar year 2012 were considered even though we are 5 months late in the process (see my prior posts as to why).
To save time, I merged 'Thread of the Year' and 'Journal of the Year' together. I also have dropped "System of the Year" due to lack of sufficient nominations.
@Big Mike: Why is MTPredictor nominated to be the "Best Trading Plattform"? You can't trade with the software and it's focused to the MTP related Setups only?
Just to clarify this question. Yes, you can Place Trades using the MTPredictor Trade Module, which is part of the MTP RT add-ons for NinjaTrader 7, and you can also setup the Analysis using our manual Risk/Reward tool, which means you are not tied to placing trades from just MTP setups, it can be from any manual setup you choose as well......
Hey guys, I just cast my vote for best futures broker with Optimus Futures and Rithmic.
I can't say enough good stuff about the business they run. Perhaps, the best customer service in the industry.
Most of my life has revolved around serving others and fixing complex technical problems. Hence, when I say Matt, Jen, and Chad over at Optimus are as good as it gets at, I am not exaggerating. The quality of service was a high priority to me since this was my first experience trading futures live. All Rookies are prone to make mistakes and I am glad I went through them with the support of the Optimus staff.
I'd also like to note, I rarely if ever get bad volume or tick data using their Rithmic feed and don't have any of the same problems my friends complain about, getting order fills.
As far as fees, I pay less than any of the other brokers that offer decent data feeds.
Lastly, Matt himself personally referred me to one of his friends, a former WorldCup of International Investors champ to seek a more effective trading strategy that helped me become a better trader.
And finally, had it not been for this forum, I would not have found out about Optimus Futures to begin with.
Thank you, Big Mike and all the Optimus Futures staff.
Koepisch. I have voted for it anyway, in that category. I can use a couple of free live data feeds, using the internal downloader functionality which comes with the software. There are a number of other live feeds that MTPredictor can download for evaluation, as well as, end of day feeds.
The charting package is good, with tools that give the trader an eye on potential future highs and lows in advance, which are described as 'trend termination', known as [1] DP areas found by previous pivot bars and also [2] DP decision points that are calculated within the software.
I really can't do justice in explaining the MTPredictor v7.5 software, for that you need to watch one of the many videos that can be found on the web. I know Big Mike had Steve Griffiths in to briefly explain it and that recording is available for viewing.

Thanks to @Big Mike and all who voted for IQFeed as the best futures data feed (landing us a top 3 finish). It is your enthusiasm for our service that motivates us to continue to improve. We work hard to provide value beyond futures stream-only feeds, and appreciate the opportunity to try even harder in 2013.
Best in everybody’s trading career,
