I see that the next thread is to the left and the previous is to the right... seems backwards to me.. normal is left to go back; right to go forward isn't it? or is my dyslexia showing its ugly head again. Is this an option, Mike or built in?

If you are referring to the links on the bottom of the posts page, left is back, right is forward, as you would expect.

Some forums allow you to access the most recent post of a thread by clicking on the last poster's name.

The forum is awesome without that convenience but it makes staying current so easy.
