Both my wife and I are Elite members. It was just the right thing to do since both of us are using the forum. By all means, make the downloads elite only.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
In few month I have learn more on futures.io (formerly BMT) than in some many thousand $ trading courses. Paying is good because you give more value to things.
Another way to promote futures.io (formerly BMT) is by the community itself, i.e. I always refer to futures.io (formerly BMT) with trader friends because of the way everything goes in this forum, not only for download section.
Hope makes it everything Elite could also help to find our path in the multiples threads.
i am fairly new around you guys/gals old timers here at bm, however, have been trading for the longest time, or it seems.... since 1985.... and have also written several responses to various posts which i came across while browsing without specific objectives in mind.
in terms of paying for indicators and other selective valuable downloads pertaining to some possibility of increasing "profitability/efficiency/visibility.... etc" for any downloader/trader....;
my immediate major concern are:
1--THE APPLICABILITY/USABILITY of the fee-based downloads, their validity and reliability....: are the downloads as good as they claim to be.... and are they applicable only for monday or tuesday market.... or are they just as good for any market condition....
if the proposed downloads are verifiable and applicable for the specific persona who seeks value from such download, the person by all means ought to "pay" for the value/service received....
2--in order to attach value to indicators or other pertinent downloads, we ought to allow the individual "inventor/creator" to set the dollar value.... the intellectual property proprietors know what the value ought to be....; but then would bg members agree with such value, is another matter altogether....
3--mike, now supposed.... every indicator has set dollar amount value....; how would the bg general members know that each indicator is what it claims to be....? would the prospective purchasers be allowed some grace time to test out whatever products they intend to purchase....?
4--mike, the more serious problem would include.... vendors' claims vs their products' own validity and reliability themselves....; how could the bg general members be assured of no-frauds from any and all vendors....?
5--if you already have a sizable staff on hand, yes, you could set up a revenue producing dept to handle this aspect which would increase this community members' satisfaction level and elevate it above and beyond many other vendors based enterprises/free chatrooms....; and at the same time increase your revenue, at nominal cost....
6--as we all know, at present, there are more fraudulent vendors selling fraudulent indicators, setups, trading related materials.... than sands on Phuket beach....
i would just hate to see your info site--big mike.... becomes any thing remotely resembles numerous other free trading info sites--overcrowded, overwhelmed and over subscribed with fraudulent vendors....
my dear mike, whatever you decide to do.... i know it won't be an easy decision nor task at all....

My opinion is to go ahead and require elite membership for all downloads as you described. Sounds reasonable to me, and you won't know if it will improve things unless you give it a try.
I also am a newbie here, have just signed up a week or so ago. But, after a day of reading the forums and other information here, I decided to vote with my wallet and pop for the elite. I did this because useful sites such as this one should be supported.
I'm not sure the $50 is going to stop anyone who is intent on downloading indicators etc from this site and reselling them as their own. But, it seems reasonable to try. I don't think having the downloads only in the elite section is going to dissuade anyone who is serious about learning from using this site. It doesn't take too long looking at the forums here to realize that $50 is a small price to pay for access.
1. $50 for Elite Section and All Indicator Downloads.
2. Must register with return mail receipt confirmation to make posts in open forum.
3. Free to browse posts in open forum. No downloads of any kind without registering.
4. More moderators. Maybe with some kind of compensation for their time.
if ur trying to build a quality community then it makes perfect sense to make downloads available to elite members only. The only issue is that it will be harder to distinguish the good stuff currently elite !!! from the not so good stuff currently free! or maybe there is no difference between the free stuff and the elite stuff...........!!
anyway if it helps keep the forum developing as a quality trading resource then im all for charging.
I am quite new around here, still just getting my bearings. I love what I see so far, great community of people trading and learning. I have seen this very issue come up on other boards relating to many different topics. Though I am new and currently do not have elite access I do understand why this is being contemplated. From what I have seen and read here so far and what I have seen on other boards I think elite downloads is a good idea.
