I'm one of those guys who signed up a while back and does not post a lot. I'm serious about trading, but have a serious learning curve to overcome in the code/computer world. I also feel at this point and time my knowledge in all areas of trading is limited and don't have a lot to share that would be worth others time.
On the topic of requiring people to pay. I'm for it. I do think it weeds out the troublemakers and seems like a very fair price for what you could potentially have access to. My vote is more exclusivity through price.
i think indicators don't help you make money, they r fun to look at but making money? never have they helped me, so this is one different view, charge for things that don't work. sounds like a downhill slide
Only new to trading forms and have been amazed by the ammount of stuff that you can get from futures.io (formerly BMT), I have no problem paying for things that benifit my trading and don't thing it unreasonable for futures.io (formerly BMT) to ask it either.

Thanks: 22 given,
Not sure the outcome will be any different...
From a new member... Why did I join the elite... I wanted to access download areas that might contain value that I did not find in the general areas... and I'm not sure as of yet if I've found what I'm looking for... because I'm not sure what it is that I'm looking for...
If you restrict by number of Posts... then I may be disqualified because I'm not at a level of contribution not because I don't have any knowledge to share... I'm not sure the road map is easy to follow...
I believe that I can automate trading against stocks and shave off profit. I use Ninja and IQFeed.
I have written many indicators and have written tons of code... but I'm not completely happy with what I have and the results in a down market. I have a program that will score 87% success rate in a non-attended mode.
What it is we're all looking for is "Where is the TOP" and "Where is the BOTTOM" of what ever we are trading. If any one ever found the answers to those questions who would want to share... The other problem I see is how do we evaluate the results of indicators that are shown.. I down loaded one where the author thought it would make a great indicator... only to find it wasn't even close...Test results from anything other than live trading are basically worthless...
I guess I should have started some topics like... What indicators are reliable to find the top or the bottom of a particular stock... What indicators are great for trending... scalping... and what areas need to be tweaked to fit my style.
In short... I have not been involved because I'm not sure there are like minded folks seeking the same goals as I am... but I have also not reached out... It has always been hard to get more than 10% of any membership active to take a leading role... I am not a follower... I guess I've been to busy trying crap on my own and not reaching for others...
In short I am guilty of taking without providing... but I never would resell or relabel something that I didn't own..
I generally like the idea to make the site more exclusive attracting higher quality users. Therefore I like the vector of an upgrade you chose. An option to achieve that could be to reduce the amount of free downloadables instead of removing them completely.

I'm a newish user who doesn't post much but rather reads and digests. A Post quota only leads to a lot of crummy posts. Elite membership at only $50 at least keeps out the riff raff. It isn't much to ask. My 2 cents worth.
Hell yeah! I'd be charging more and have a competition between programmers to see who can come with the best indicator and automated trading system. I'd put some serious jack up for this contest - $2-5,000 total winnings and watch the magic happen.
