I use Firefox 6.0.1. as well. No problem with the buttons, but there are a lot of videos which I cannot access.

but there are a lot of videos which I cannot access.

Can you be more specific so I can test against it?

I use Chrome personally, and everything is 100% in Chrome. Whenever I make some core changes, I test with IE and Firefox as well, and am not aware of any issues right now, so let me know.

Have checked it again. The problem occurs with all the videos created from the webinars. All my browsers issue an error message, see screenshots below.

The only difference is that Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari will play the video and ignore the error message, while Firefox will not play the video.

This problem only occurs for specific videos. Most of the videos created by users can be played, but not the webinar videos. Not sure why this happens.

Hmm, the fact that this happens for you across multiple browsers means it is something else installed on your system. Some anti-virus type software or firewall software can interfere and block ports, in this case it is RTMP protocol to stream the videos, and it requires the use of a cookie as it checks for Elite status or not to stream the video.

Will you try it in Chrome and see if the error occurs still? And maybe try disabling any third party anti-virus, malware, or firewall type application you have installed, including any browser extensions, and try again using Firefox or etc.

The videos definitely all play fine for me in all platforms, tested on three different physical machines as well.

The gatracker is Google Analytics, to track analytics for number of times a webinar is played. It seems you have software installed to block that which is causing the problem.

I changed some of the settings of my router software, in particular those for the plugin container of Firefox, and I am now able to play the videos with Firefox.

However, the error message will still pop up, but then go away after a few seconds. I think that is as close as I can get. Have swicthed off my various antivirus tools one by one, but that did not change anything.

Thanks again for responding.

Have you opted-out with Google for tracking cookies? If so, that could cause the error as well.

I'm not 100% sure, I'd have to google it, lol It is something on Google's side. But I know it is possible to opt out of the Google Analytics tracker. Anyway, we've veered off-topic. Hopefully the OP comes back and we can solve his issue.

Mike,
It says "Welcome, scartree" at the top RHS of the screen so I am definitely logged in. Nothing on the link page you sent says anything different. I have no add-ons (that I know of) so that would not be a cause of problems. I don't have a problem with other sites, including forums, using Firefox. It really is no big deal and I am happy to keep using IE so please don't waste time on it. Others use Firefox without problems so there is a bug somewhere causing a problem with mine alone. Strange that it did this some time ago and still has the same problem months later. I will load Firefox on my new laptop and see if that is OK - I'll let you know.

I downloaded a new copy of the Firefox 6 program and installed it on my new Toshiba laptop. It has the same problem as my PC installation. I use Avira AV and Comodo firewall on both machines. I have looked at settings on both but Firefox seems to have the necessary clearances not to be worried by these anti malware programs.

In desparation I even held my tongue in the other side of my mouth when I loaded Firefox but ..... strange indeed!
