No sore loser here...I still think I have a valid point though. I think you carried some "baggage "from your response to Anagami and are dumping it on me. I have no ill feelings about the matter and was putting forth in my view constuctive criticism. no offense intended. Regards, Kbit

No offense taken, I was mainly aiming at Anagami.
The quiz questions and most of the prizes were decided by the promoter, not by me, as is the format for the most part. Just going with what is easiest for most. We'll see what the last two webinars bring as for the format for the quiz.
You'll have 17 more chances to win something before the end of the month, there are 17 more prizes in total this month.
Thanks to both Mike and Stan for the Multicharts presentation. It is always good to see a live demo of another platform. Congrats to futures.io (formerly BMT) on the 2nd year anniversary and to the winners in the webinar.

Well, I quite like what I've seen in the parts of the site that I have access to. I'm sure that if I saw the "Elite" parts of it, I would love it very much :-)
Big Mike, thanks for the Webinar. It was a good chance for learning something about MC platform and hope other webinars related to Multicharts will be available. Thanks again.
Prizes:
Two winners will each receive a round-trip plane ticket from anywhere in the world to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the November 2011 Traders Expo. There is a $1,500 per ticket maximum. In addition, one more winner will receive a free 2-year subscription to NinjaTrader. To enter to win the prizes, you must attend the webinar event during its live presentation and correctly answer a quiz question during the webinar.

I see the NT webinar is filling up quickly, I'd like to let everyone know the room capacity is 500 people so you don't want to be late joining this one or you won't have a chance to win the prizes.
I am in discovery mode and really impressed with your site.
I am part of another but thinking of joining the community here on a regular basis. It takes effort to contribute, but its obviously plain that there are many generous people posting here. Great atmosphere and attitudes.
Just to be different, I'll post my first message but please don't choose me, I do plan to purchase an Elite anyways.
I'm probably the oldest dude on this forum. Please allow me the liberty to make a suggestion for your consideration.
If it's possible to generate a random number, say from 1 to 10; known to you alone, before each question.
Let's say the random number is 5. Then look for the 5th correct answer, and that is the winner. That would give those who can't type quickly a better chance, and hopefully, end any hurt feelings.
Maybe the winners could choose their prize, in winning order, from those available?
When I am looking for ANYTHING on trading, this is the FIRST site I visit. Chances are, it WILL be here!
The BEST traders, the BEST programmers and the MOST helpful folk are all here. In one place, easy to find and get around. I love the place. It is a POSITIVE experience to enquire on anything to do with trading.
And I'm only a happy happy member. What are the ELITE members getting?

Congratulations to the winners in the NinjaTrader webinar:
@groogle has won a 3 month NT subscription multi-broker license
@Gary has won a 2-year NT multi-broker license
@Priceaction and @EC8547 have won a round-trip ticket from anywhere in the world to Las Vegas for the November Traders Expo
Great prizes guys, and thanks to Ray for adding a "bonus" prize at the end of the webinar
The webinar has some great Q&A about NinjaTrader 8 (yes, 8) so check out the recording later, will post the link once is ready.
Last - since @Gary is a friend of mine, I captured a screenshot showing he was in fact first to answer the question just in case anyone thinks I just gave my friend a license.... You can also confirm with Ray @ NinjaTrader that I had no knowledge of the quiz questions prior to him asking them live/real-time like everyone else. Screen shot shows he is first to answer, and is the only answer sent to Ray which Ray confirmed was correct. Just wanted to get that out of the way

The winners are all decided, sorry you were not one of them. The name you used in webinar really doesn't matter, it's just a requirement of the software to input something. I asked the winners for their bmt usernames.
Mike, just a little constructive feedback on how the competition was run this morning. I'm not sure I have a better solution to drawing the prizes but the "first correct answer" puts those of us on the other side of the planet at a distinct disadvantage due to ping times. I know I am being picky but I would have loved to go to Vegas (baby) for free. I know I have an average ping of 250ms to the US through some testing I did with Sam28 so even if I was the fastest keyboard gun in the world I bet someone could start and finish a response in my travel time.
Never though I'd say this but "I wish the speed of light was faster"
Thanks for the webinar this morning (australian time) though. I have used NT for a 3+ years and I still learnt a thing or two this morning in the Q&A with Ray.

Mike, thanks for putting on the MultiCharts webinar! Watched the video of it and was a good introduction to software and especially like the stop loss, profit target, trade management functions.

Sorry for delay with posting the NT recorded webinar. My a/c has completely blown up and I've spent last two days getting quotes, on phone, service calls, etc. Have had to buy a whole new system to be installed tomorrow. My office is 94 degrees. Some of my computers have shut down due to "over temp" already, my main desktop is still running luckily.
Prizes:
(10) Autographed copies of your choice of any of Al's books (he has three new ones coming out soon).
Please note - room capacity is limited to 500 people, and we are expecting MORE THAN 500 people to attempt to be in the webinar, so register soon and also don't be late joining the webinar. Registrations are required, but room availability is based on first come, first served.
Thanks very much for all these webinars I was looking for ninja for these weekend living in europe and getting up early in the morning it's to late to follow the webinars in real time at night.
Thanks again for your work
Roberto

One more time - I want to remind everyone to be on-time, or early, to the Al Brooks webinar tomorrow. There is only room for 500 people, and right now we're expecting about 700 registrations as of tomorrow -- so who gets in vs who doesn't will be decided by what time you log into the room.

I'd like to give everyone a heads up - the 10 questions for today's Al Brooks webinar will be handled differently.
Question #1 - winner will be first to answer correctly
.
.
Question #5 - winner will be fifth to answer correctly
.
.
Question #10 - winner will be tenth to answer correctly
This will settle any concerns over network latency. It will take me extra time to locate the correct answer for each question due to this change, so I ask for your patience.
I also want to advise you to bring your A game, the questions from Al are very challenging.
Last, yet another reminder we are expecting the webinar to be full (500 people). This means some of you, even those who registered and received email confirmation, will not get in. If you want to increase your chance of getting in, join early. I will open the webinar about 30 minutes early to allow people to start joining.

I'd like to once again thank Al Brooks for his time today on an excellent webinar, and I know you guys really appreciate him staying so long and answering all of your questions.
The ten quiz questions were a lot of fun, I'm sorry it ended up being where most of you guys were just randomly pressing letters and cheating, but I will share the quiz questions and answers later when I post the recording so you can benefit from it. Al spent a lot of time creating the questions so I'm sure he would appreciate you reviewing them.
Many of you also requested Al's powerpoint, I will try and get that and post it as well.
The cool thing is that I tried to figure out the correct answer on the first questions until I got tired to see that people was just posting a "random" answer. This was the only time that I answered a quiz question! so I had a 100% win ratio I planned to post "A" before the question come up, I promise that I will check why it was the correct answer. I took profit from that but I think that you must avoid "choice" answers in the next quiz.
But the most important for me is that, from all prizes, the Al Brooks book is the prize that I wanted, ok, the NT license is cool and Suri book too but this was my target because I don't have the book "Reading Price Charts Bar by Bar", a friend lend it to me and I thought to wait until the webinar ends to buy it because I really enjoy reading it (and I thought that I'll never win it with 500 people in there). In any case I will have to pay the shipping to Spain
Again, Big thanks Big Mike and thank you very much Al Brooks.
The following user says Thank You to BCNTrader for this post:
Thanks for setting up all these great webinars, Mike! Much appreciated.
And about the book lottery at the end of the webinar.. I tend to look at what happened not as cheating, but as a group of traders that found an edge and exploited it!
That said, I will be going through the questions again and actually doing the work.
I tried it but it was impossible, think about it... I pushed "Enter" (had already typed the A) at the very first time I saw the 6th question pop on my screen and I wasn't the first person to answer correctly, so I was in the sixth position of the correct answers even without having the time to read the question. As far as I know, at least from the 1st to the 6th (correct answers) were cheaters Can be the lag? maybe the service is not "real-time" and I had a delay because while reading the 3rd question Big Mike already said "stop posting". I'm in Spain but I know I have a ping of 160ms to a server in Chicago, IL and 125ms to Washington, DC (pingtest.net). I have just 24ms from Barcelona to Madrid.

I just joined this site a few days ago. I must say you have done an impressive job for only being 2 years old. Best wishes to everyone for the next two years. Hopefully by then ill be off of paper and onto the real thing again.
Not sure where to post ideas for webinars but what about a broker giving us some lowdown on broking?
As we know more about exchanges than say spot forex, the latter might be more interesting.

I know this thread is six months old, but Al Brooks new book just came out, and if you were one of the contest winners that elected to wait for an autographed copy of his new book --- and did not receive a copy of his original book already --- then please private message me.
