Just registered, long time lurker, and I encountered an error.
I don't understand -- you received an error, but no error?
Please provide details as to what you were clicking, the exact url if possible. Most likely, like the rest of the message above that you didn't post, the thread you were trying to view is Elite only.
The other thing I can think of is the pop-up about the private message everyone receives when they join. Hard to know without you providing more details.
We get around 25 new members a day, no one else has said anything.
I just went to the site directly, and then clicked Register from the navigation menu. I hadn't yet clicked on any other part of the forum. I did get the PM, but this was just on the regular part that tells me after I signup.
It actually looks to me like this is on any message that you get. So it may have just confused me, I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing.
All cookies cleared is the message, it means you were logged on as someone else before you signed in. Please keep in mind, we only allow one account per person....
No no it's not like that. I tried to log out and re-register so I could show you the exact error. And when I logged out I got a similar message, that showed the "error message" thing I was talking about, so I just posted that. I think it's just I got confused because "error message" is at the top of every message like that. And I thought that it meant there was an error, when really it's just a message.
Limitations of the software we use. 99% of the time "errors" on the site are due to trying to view Elite content, which is about 1/3rd of all content on the site, as a non-Elite member. So I modified the error template to try to explain that.
