Multichart / Esignal - language - Both same?

Hello,

I am new to Big Mike Trading.

I use esignal and I thought the indicators code is same as that of Multichart's. But when I copy & paste multichart indicator code into esignal efs, I keep getting errors. How can I covert .pla file to .efs file?

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam
The 2 systems use different languages- so you can't copy and paste easylanguage code into esignal, which I believe is based on java .
You have 2 options:
1. Esignal has a EFS library with 300+ indicators. If you use esignal 10.6 - From the menu choose support ---- EFS Help center and library. That opens a web page. Choose EFS library and you now have access to all avaliable indicators and trading systems. IF you are programmer - you can make your own esignal based systems.
2. IF you are not a programmer - I suggest you choose MC6 and easylanguage. It is far easier to learn :-). There are a zillion indicators and trading systems available free. MC has a section in their discusion forum called "user contributed ...." which link to some of the free sites available.

Have fun

Sam, I feel your "pain". truly, I suggest to develop the methodology from scratch in easylanguage for multicharts.
The code translations are lengthy and costly, and comparing lines of code at times could be frustrating.

PM with any questions about optimusfutures (800) 771-6748 (561) 367 8686. THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS IN FUTURES TRADING.
