Hey does anyone else on futures.io trade currency pairs using Esignal Advanced GET? I have been trading using
the Elliott Wave indicators for several years now, and find them to be reliable leading indicators, esp. when viewed in multiple timeframes (i.e. 5 min, 15 min, and 60 min.) The strategies in the software use other trailing indicators to confirm trades. Why trade with only trailing indicators when Elliott Waves fit regular and time-tested patterns? Traders can grouse about how subjective they are, but that's what makes them so fascinating. I have been trading Type I and Type II strategies with a high success rate. Looking for trading buddies to trade notes with on a daily basis. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

Do you draw the Elliott Waves on Ninjatrader? What software do you use? I have been looking for some software for the Elliott Waves on NT8. If I can get the software figured out for NT8 I would like to compare notes with you.

Hi shortcreeker,

No, neither NT7 nor NT8 have Elliott Wave capabilities. I purchased eSignal Advanced GET several years ago. Their proprietary software includes EW counting. I don't have the time right now, but soon I will upload a screenshot of what the software looks like. I would never attempt day trading of anything without it.

There may be other EW charting software programs out there, but this the best one I have found. Yes, wave counts do change based on what the product you are trading actually does. That is because EW counts do not predict the future necessarily, but give you a strong idea of what may happen in the future based on historical patterns. That is why eSignal gives you a set of rules to following to increase the likelihood of your trade succeeding. What I like is that EW counts are leading indicators....just about everything else is a trailing indicator.

Anyway, thanks for your reply, and have a nice weekend!

Steve

I have a customer who trades Elliot Wave and he kept on mentioning Motivewave capabilities of it.
Maybe it deserves an examining Signup for our 14 Day Free Trial - Elliott Wave Software

After the FXCM debacle this past week, I have withdrawn my funds from FXCM and will never trade forex again. FXCM has tarnished the entire U.S. retail forex market, and will cause it to contract even more. FXCM's claim that I traded with the "no dealing desk" was one big lie. I hope enough traders withdraw their funds that the deal with Gain becomes worth even less to FXCM. Creeps. (I could easily use much stronger language.)

I will now focus on trading ES exclusively. Does anyone out there use eSignal Advanced GET Elliott Wave analysis to time their ES trade entries? Would love trade notes....

Thanks,
Steve

trading index futures is different than FX . the underlining stocks they are based on have a long bias. they go up 7% a year over time. if you short them i would sim for a bit.

I have been interested with Advanced Get for many years now. I always thinking of trading for living but never been able to focus on it while still fully employed and having family to take care.

I imagine Advanced Get can help in filtering trade candidates along with clear entry and exit resulting in positive expected return = (%win x $win) + (%loss x $loss). Would appreciate a mentor or trading buddies to go through this journey together ...

Hello VMaru,

Thank you for your message.

I have migrated away from eSignal and now use NinjaTrader 8 and some custom indicators I bought from a third party vendor, to create automated strategies.

I fell in love with Elliott Waves for a couple years...when they work, they're great, but the market doesn't always behave in ways that fit Elliott Wave counts.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Would you be able share the name of the Elliott Wave indicator you mentioned for NT8 and where we can find it? I'm interested in Elliott Wave analysis to help me stay on the right side of the trend but find that manual planning to takes too much time.

Thank you!
Dave
