Seeking programmer experienced with both eSignal and RediPlus.
Not many GS / eSignal types around here, so I will jump in. ( I have not worked on GSET in a while. ) REDITPlus is not that hard, you may want to look for a Windows FIX developer who has worked with the eSignal API. ( I think you are talking about the Desktop API and not the DDE. Just guessing.
It seems that most developers who know this software work for hedge funds. Those folks cannot (usually) program trading products for people outside of their firm.
This has created a real "gap." There are lots of individuals (it seems) that need help with Redi but cannot find a programmer. If I programmed for a living, I would rush to become the "Redi guy." lol
IMHO, the reason is, it is hard to freelance unless you have a really nice client list before you start. There are a lot of hedge funds AND smaller shops that use REDIPlus, but it is more fragmented. Once you have decent exp in Bloomberg, REDI, FIX, programers will just go and get a day gig at a larger firm or a contract gig at a larger firm if they live near NYC, LON.
