Emini S&P trading time

I am learning about emini S&P as I intend to trade it. I read this on wikipedia:

"The E-Mini contract trades from Sunday to Friday 5:00pm – 4:00pm (Chicago Time/CT) with a 15-minute trading halt from 3:15pm to 3:30pm CT. From 4:00pm to 5:00pm there's a daily maintenance period."

But when I look at charts on Al Brooks website where he describes the daily price action, I see the chart of
"Emini S&P 500 Continuous contract" starts at 6.30 am and ends at around 1.15 pm. ( No idea about the time zone)
Does this mean that most of the trading occurs within this time period?

Another site says:
The Emini (or E-mini or ES) is a futures contract that tracks the S&P 500 stock market index. It is traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) via their Globex electronic trading platform. Trading is 23 ½ hours a day, 5 days a week, using the ticker symbol ES.

Another piece from 2011:
"What time do S&P futures start trading?
The basics: Trading hours for S&P 500 futures. There are two different sets of hours. One for the pit and one for Globex. The pit hours start at 8:30 AM CT to 3:15 PM CT and reopens for a couple minutes once brokers are finished clearing their decks, this is called the post.(May 4, 2011)"

Can somebody please tell me the exact time for starting and ending trading in E mini S&P ? Because all the information I collected until now is confusing me.

Regards

Trading hours for ES are 5 pm to 4 pm CT (with a 15min break from 3:15 pm to 3:30 pm CT)

the day-session (pit-session) is: 8:30 am to 3:15 pm CT and is of course part of the entire session

Please tell me what is the best time to trade ES mini?

On Al Brooks website where he describes the daily price action, I see the chart of
"Emini S&P 500 Continuous contract" starts at 6.30 am and ends at around 1.15 pm. ( No idea about the time zone)

So is this the best period to trade it?
And when there is the period when not many people are trading, are the levels from those period important?

the day-session is the session with the volume, that's why ES traders very often use day-session chart's

I guess Al is somewhere in California or in this area. the time-setting you posted is the day-session in Pacific Time

Please tell me what is the best time to trade ES mini?

And when there is the period when not many people are trading, are the levels from those period important?

Al Brooks lives in California, US, which is on Pacific Time. There is a 2 hour time difference between the CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) in Chicago, which is on Central Time. 6:30 for Brooks translates to 8:30 in Chicago (CT); 1:15 for Brooks equals 3:15 in Chacago.

This period is often called the "Regular Trading Hours" or "RTH", and sometimes the "pit" hours. Before full electronic trading, trading was done manually in the "pit" in Chicago during this time. Today it is still the busiest period and the time that has the most volume. It is very close to the regular New York Stock Exchange hours, which is where the majority of stocks that make up the S&P trade.

You can find full information on trading times at the CME website: Trading Hours: Futures & Options

Levels from the non-RTH hours may be important because European traders generally begin trading ES during the early morning Chicago time (about 2:00 AM CT) and continue through about 10:00 AM CT, so their trading has a direct influence on prices during the RTH period. But how significant these levels are is a subject that people often disagree about; you will need to form your own conclusions from observation.

Bob.

That is correct. The other websites are wrong.
