Well as you will hear from many, it's a personal preference, but as someone who has used pretty much every platform in existence I'll recommend a couple. All offer some sort of free trial or free demo platform so that's the good news. InfinityAT by infinity futures is excellent for order entry, Sierra charts is also very good and is included for free if you do 10 round turns a month. TradeStation is excellent you do pay for data though. And last but not least ThinkorSwim has a lot of features and content for free if you fund an account. All three in my opinion are better in many ways than NT. But try them all out for yourself and see what feels best for you.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions on any specific platform, we would be happy to help.
Thanks,
Matt Z

There is a substantial risk of loss in futures trading. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The placement of contingent orders by you or broker, or trading advisor, such as a “stop-loss” or “stop-limit” order, will not necessarily limit your losses to the intended amounts, since market conditions may make it impossible to execute such orders.
Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

Trust me you will want a DOM that has the best execution out there, and that is still TT.
When the sh*t hits the fan you don't want to be using a poor execution platform as your supposedly cheaper costs will get wiped out pretty damn quick

5yrs ago I would have said TT was the standard along with Redi, and TradeStation, NT is not my favorite option as far as execution but Mirus was excellent which is now NT Brokerage and they clear through Daniel's and Philip's which I hear is decent so TT imo no longer carries the edge it once may have. That being said what is more important for fast fills on limit orders is your data connection, closer you are to the exchange the better off you are as small as that edge may seem it only helps you for short term scalping. Not as important if you are holding for bigger moves like several points on the ES don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I know guys that trade several hundred contracts at a time on ES,NQ and CL which is likely more than just about anyone here on BMT. Hope this helps Good trading
