My Dear Fellow Traders !

Wishing you all a wonderful new year ahead, with love, joy, peace and success in your trading ~

There is a cyclical system (a blend of astrology and numerology) that is very popular in the far east - India, china and Japan...and I applied the dates for 2015 to NKD (nikkie index futures) and I see that NKD seems to respond with the following possibilities - on a 4 hr time frame

a) It marks the change in trend,..as seen using TTM_trend study (John carter) or use the Hiekienashi candles

b) it marks the dates, when imp. S/R lines are broken ( S/R as formed in the last 3-4-5 days)

c) it marks when the market opened with a gap or the highest/lowest points (imp pivots) in the short term (1-2 week)

I am providing the dates below and I suspect that I am very biased and unable to objectively study this method ( as i want it to work)

i will be getting more dates for previous years (which is a bit of a tedious process, which I will eventually do and share if this method has potential)..

Would really appreciate, if someone could plot the following dates onto the NKD 2015 chart_ 4hrs and see if the above rules are indeed applicable or not to these dates -

Year Month Date - for time i used - 9 AM on every date

Curious to see a blend of astrology and numerology referred to as a "method".

I can't help wondering whether "responding to" is perhaps rather a dramatic claim, even if there appears to be some correlation? "Responding to" rather implies a direct causative relationship, doesn't it?

you are right Tymbeline.

There are 2 possibilities as to why an astrological system might be impacting the markets -

1) Just like fibonacci re-tracements become a self fulfilling system, because so many forex traders use it, it could be the case that many eastern traders and hedge fund managers have their own astro/numbers based cycles that they use, so much so that there might be a trading opportunity there.

2) the other possibility is of course, more radical, in that astro phenomena have an influence on the human psyche pushing them to respond in either - extreme fear & euphoria - "feelings" which traders then spill onto the trading floor.

Personally, I don't care ....only thing I do care about is developing a fairly good trading system.

So far, I have collected some promising methods, that are astrologically derived, & have developed a trading system around them, but I am a bit lost on how to back test them effectively.

Hoping to collaborate with someone who has some experience back testing strategies.

I don't mind paying, but no idea on how to find my tester !
