I am trading the ES and NQ .I am new to trading, and even more so to the DOM, and it has me a bit bewildered. I notice at times that price will smash through areas with large resting orders which would lead me to believe that making predictions based on the resting orders could be dangerous. Also, knowing that Icebergs lay in wait renders me apprehensive. DUring volatile times I notice that the thing will fluctuate with such a verocity that it could puke out tight stops with a vengence only to turn around and go back in the desired direction. Is there anyone that advocates, just watching BID/ASK/LAST as opposed to watching the DOM?
Also I have noticed there are plug ins that claim to show Icebergs and market orders flooding the market place.
DOes anyone find these tools useful and worth the fee?
Most importantly could you elaborate on zen and the art of reading the DOM?

THank You!

futures.io (formerly BMT) has many webinars on Order flow/ DOM that are really very informative. Grady from no bstrading, Peter Davis from Jigsaw, John Hoagland from TST. VERY VERY good info. Gives you very good foundation on DOM and the rest is up to you to do the screentime.

These videos helped me substantially, I'd recommend them to anyone interested in trading.
