I have read about tick and volume charts. i have never implemented either of them. If I have this right, tick charts represent transactions regardless of contract size and volume represents individual contracts? Please correctme if I am wrong.

Also for those of you that have used both: WHat differences are there in the way you interrpret the 2?

Not sure if you read the one response, to the question, in the link, that you provided, but it was pretty vague. I believe differences, in interpretation, of tick charts and volume charts, could be described, by those implementing them, more adequatley. Thanks for trying though....

I find that a larger tick value leads to fewer and better trades. I use 5000 tick charts for CL & ES
