I have been paper trading the YM on the 10 minute chart using CCI 14 zero crossover.

Also I have been using CCI trendlines and trading CCI trendline breaks. i.e., when CCI begins making lower prints I draw a line connecting the tops and trade when it breaks up (going long). Same for when CCI is below 0 I go short etc.

Then when it crosses zero I place a trade if it reached + or - 100.

Since last month I have paper traded this way 83 times. Using 1 or 2 lots and sometimes trailing the stop and other times setting a 5 tick profit limit I have a paper profit of $1975.00 after commissions.

Has anyone here done this or have suggestions for when I start to trade with real money?

Fred

if you'd post a couple of screen captures to illustrate your setups it would certainly help. Context is important so showing a CCI trendline break in context would certainly be a good thing. As a rule of thumb the more clear is the message the more chance you have to get some feedback.

A couple of weeks ago there was a webinar on CCI maybe your setups are similar (Advanced CCI trading techniques):
