Hi All... 'just learned of (and joined) futures.io. Looks like a great place for a TF trader to hang out!

'Hope this is an OK place to post...

I showed my homegrown, *overly-complex EasyLanguage Strategy* to a colleague last night. It's 25+ pages of code, //Comments, and Print("Trace") statements. It trades the TF during the first few minutes of the day session...

After seeing it for the first time he said " hey man, you can write a profitable ORB strat in less than a page of code!".

I'm all about simplicity... and eager to "learn by example" if such code exists. TradeStation forum has been slightly helpful... and deserves my further investiagtion.

So, 'am seeking *sample ORB Strats* that are in the public domain, written in EasyLanguage... to simply see how other coders elegantly trade the "Opening Range"... of the Russell or other names.

QUESTION:
Are sample EasyLanguage strategies (written in various styles, like: ORB, mean-reversion, trend-following, gap-fill, ...) available to Elite Members of Futures.io? If so, becoming Elite makes total sense.

Any guidance and counseling on "best places to find well-written EL Strats" is appreciated... Thanks in advance.

John in Denver

I'm sure there is some stuff over at the TS forums...I remember seeing some stuff a while back.
Beyond that, I don't have much experience with coding. Just do a search over there or maybe ask here but in the platform section.

That was a bad idea..those levels remain targets when the crazies stop buying.

78.4 is a target on the way down...not sure if we're going down tomorrow or not, play it by ear

I like that you have a thread dedicated to the TF. It is my one of my favorites, including the NQ and CL.

Here are my thoughts, for what they are worth

It appears we have double topped at the 1190 area. I have felt like the tf was reaching for 1100...but it couldn't get there yesterday or today. So, you may be right about the move to the 1070 area. With the NQ sitting at the 200 MA ( I think the 200 MA is complete bullocks, but everyone watches it) and not breaking through, it may just goose the TF to take a little ride down with it.

I'm not completely convinced that the 3/10-3/11 HL holds...but you never know. I think all the markets need a little dose of new fear to ultimately go higher. All you need to do is pull up the weekly and see those five weekly candles up and you can see the trend up is most likely still intact.

Regardless, I believe the 2/12 low holds and we see 1300+ before it is taken out. Time will tell I guess.

You could be right, don't know but the 31 area is what I'm looking at to determine whether or not it makes another shot at the highs.

Looking for a blip up to near today's high (not sure about it happening) then looking for a return to 1128.
Might drop overnight but am going to wait. Not 100% sure about this one but that's my plan.
