Overnight margins

What is the time span in which I need to be out of the market not to need overnight margins?
For Globex and Eurex.

Assuming NT templates are correct, you can check the RTH of each instrument these are normally the time spans of intraday margins. You might also double check with your broker, and compare the all with the official electronic platforms:

Eurex Eurex - Blue Chip

CME Group Trading Hours

The time span is fixed by your broker. The broker will probably require you to put down an overnight margin before the start of the night session. This could be 15 or 30 min prior to the end of the RTH session or whatever your broker thinks is appropriate.

Thanks,
But this is not what I asked.
If I'm not mistaken in Globex if I'm out of the market btw. 15:15-15:30 I won't need overnight margins.
Is this correct and what are the times for Eurex (FDAX)?

My answer was according to my experience (IB and VF) that is why I mentioned to check with the broker, never was requested to have an overnight margin 15 or 30 min prior to the RTH end.

Just checked my broker (Interactive Brokers). They have a 50% margin cut-off time.

For ECBOT & Globex it is the earlier of 15 minutes before open outcry ends or 3:45 PM EST. If I apply this rule, I will get

-> ES, NQ, YM : 3:45 PM Est
-> ZB, ZN : 2:45 PM Est

For EUREX no reduced intraday margins are offered.

Again you have to check with your broker.

What is written by the broker is a general rule, quite often brokers get their customers categorized as low/high risk traders, your profile and therefore conditions might change according to your results and trading styles. Conditions are determined case by case.

Hm, first off, you seem to be right according to this page:
http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/p.php?f=margin (then Futures, then Futures Intraday Margin), where it reads:

Quoting
We do not offer intraday margin for futures if you have the option based on the future/index in the same portfolio for European exchanges. If you have a DAX future, you have intraday margin until 21:45. If you have an option on DAX, you will not have any intraday margin for the futures.

So, an outright position in an Eurex future will require intraday margin until 21.45 hour? (Am I reading that correctly? )

According to the Futures Margin page (same link), there are reduced margin for intraday trading (roughly half the overnight margin) for Eurex futures.

As I know it, the overnight margins are dictated by the exchange. The intra-day margins are Broker dependent.
