does anyone want to mark up a chart with a paint program?

oout of the users of this site only 4 people actually said anything about taking losses..4!!!

how will you get better if you dont participate and think and take on new ideas.

I have a myriad of ideas that are out of the box and workable for profits but it is going to take participation!
I don't want a thanks or a follow i want to see your ideas! let's do this!

I am looking to short russell today once amc starts to sell off maybe around 38 or 39 and boy could i be wrong. i bought some at 9.82 last week. just not enough of course.

back to losses. it feels great to take a loss just get back in the market when it gives you another good signal.

Indeed.

Isn't a GAIN on a loss a win then?

This is my belief anyway.

A $100 open loser that turns into a $50 win and is closed out is a $150 winner in my eyes.

That's how I look at it... just as a $100 open winner IS a $150 loss if closed at a $50 loss. Not a $50 loss.

Does anyone feel that way or is it just me?

Seems if it makes sense one way why wouldn't it make logical sense the other way?

Anyway that's how I see it.

Cheers

Joseph

I want to post up my trades today a couple of them on a chart and have people tell me or show me where i should be putting on a stop for protection against loss or erosion of my profits which happened 3 or 4 times today.

what time frame should i use and is there a website where i can post my trades on a chart and let others manipulate the chart with indicators and lines?

what is the best way to post trades on a chart for critique?

I have a hard time with this too.

I take screenshots and annotate them but not sure about the other way around.

Could use a dropbox or imgur type program for sharing screenshots. Maybe even google sheets is good and super accessible?

Looking forward to discussion.

Entries are on triangles on the RIGHT side of candle. EXITS are on the LEFT.

3 contract lots stacked with stop in blue, I would have done.

Coming, they can't be denied. Going, they can't be detained.

Not sure where you entered if blue line stopped?I guess you just mean if you entered in between that's where your stop and targets were or is that discretionary stops and targets? Just looking for clarification.

Thank you

SierraChart allows you to upload a screenshot of your chart directly to the SierraChart website for sharing.
Edit > Screen Image

See here for details of the [AUTOLINK]SierraChart[/AUTOLINK] image hosting service.

I thought I'd mention it because I used SierraChart for months before realising this feature existed!

@Sandpaddict, the blue is the initial stop and the green are three entries, I add on the way up, not as the trade goes against me. At the third entry i would move the stop to the bottom of that surge (just above the black box) if I planned to stay in, I dont know what this is or what time frame, but the beauty of simple methods is you can just use the candles.

I had great intentions to trade live ethen punch buy in demo so my trades would be on sierra chart but i didnt do it. way way too time consuming.

long es right now into the close. i took a 3 lot micro earlier in the es.. for an hour it did nothing then i got out at a loss.. was at a 2 point profit and did not take it.. now at a 1 pt profit.

i also got long the NQ on that big drop and as usual i gave a lot back as it sold off. once again trying to trade a bottom screwed me 2x ended up 148 in the micros
i ight trade the afterhours here
