I would like to hear from experts on what steps you have taken to reach a level wherein Volume profile is part of your main arsenal?

there are no experts . volume profile is a simple concept . there are high volume nodes and low volume nodes . like any thing in trading , the larger the time frame the stronger price will react to a retest of one of the areas . low volume nodes are some time call areas of minus development or holes in the chart. if prices is not quickly rejected when it trades into one of theses areas it will likely action across the area very quickly . like a big opening gap filling in the morning . the high volume nodes are more like magnets . they pull price there. like if you gap up price will often retest the last trading days volume point of control . hope it helps

What Forgiven said. Then Step 1 is to put volume profile on the chart of the product you trade and watch how the market reacts at areas you think could be interesting.
Better still screen record your trading session and and then speed through the video and watch how the volume profile forms through out the day in relation to price and see what repeating behaviours you see and how you can profit from that. Then repeat the next day.

You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden

Volume profile helps to identify support and resistance trading levels. Some articles suggestes that day trading without charts ... traders are mostly interested in the total number of futures contract volume traded at each price for the current trading session.

I use VP combined with Price Action. Firstly I identify VP clusters by findind POCs or HVN at a similar price level in different timeframe. If those are confirmed by price support and resistance zone I consider them areas where the price is likely to revert. So I open positions accordingly.

Focus more on supply/demand & less on volume profile .

For me, LVN to look for trades & HVN for trade management .

Learn more.

Stumbled upon this site earlier today and it is perhaps the only detailed explanation of order flow / volume profile I've come across that is actually informative. They are selling orderflow software but if you look into their blog you will find useful articles.

You can normally search by forum username in the Search box, but as the name was spelt incorrectly, this will make it easier:
