It has come to light that member @Feibel is a vendor of trading-related services.

Forum rules, as laid out in the Terms of Use, require vendors to notify site administration of their vendor status, and do not permit them to make posts that in any way promote or may promote their business, including through links or screenshots. This is necessary to keep the forum free of vendor promotional efforts, and is enforced. Generally, posts that violate these rules are deleted and vendors receive a ban. A first-offense ban is usually temporary.

It is also true that vendors may not be aware of the policy, even though the rules are made clear when a member joins.

We recognize that vendors are often knowledgeable in the world of trading and are in fact encouraged to participate, but not in a way that can benefit their business. For example, a vendor may respond factually to a direct question, or make a post on a trading topic without providing information or links to their business. These are addressed on a case-by-case basis.

This thread has been in existence for some time and has received attention from the membership. It will not be deleted, but it has been closed to new posts.

@Feibel will not receive a ban, but has been separately notified of his obligations under the rules. Any additional violations of the rules will be met with a permanent ban.
