I see threads for all other index futures like ES TF NQ except YM
I would like to start a thread dedicated to YM as it deserves a separate thread.
I will be posting my analysis trades etc based on probabilities.
I am wrong lot of times so please take my posts with grain of salt.
I invite all traders with interest in YM to participate.
This is what I am expecting today

For last friday, it never broke the downtrend line, longs never happened.
For today it could bounce back to 18160 to 18170, sell off from there to 18000 or lower to S3 17900

For today there I think there is a high probability of breaking down to reach S1 and then S2.

The YM is definitely a good market to trade although it's typically overshadowed by the ES (trading volume in the YM is about 10% of the ES).
Prices are currently up 120 points today but I think we need to be careful coming into the presidential election. I think as we get closer to November 8th, we might see some panic in the markets.
I'd keep an eye on the VIX as well.
I'd normally recommend some futures option strategies too but unfortunately, there is very little trading activity in the mini Dow options.
Best wishes,
Joe

Yesterday it broke the downtrend line and then shot up which I was not ready for.
Today I am expecting a bounce from 200 ema which is around 18158 area.

I like to keep an eye on all the equity indexes together for keys and I'm not see much of a tell anywhere.

We are out of the big triangle and travelling up.
I am expecting a break of the down trend line and goto R1 at 331 high probability, R2 at 400 low probability

Thanks for posting your experiences trading YM.
I am wondering how you chose to trade it. What are the advantages and drawbacks you have found trading it? It seems to have the volatility and volume and the margin requirement is a bit lower than the ES - leaving more room to trade.
I am a newbie and am looking at getting trading experience first with the YM. All my trading prep is based on that plan. I have seen recommendations for practicing the the M6E, but, from what I gather it is busiest when I should be sleeping.

i do not know why more people do not trade the ym. they should ..it trades in 10-ths less slip-age..not has many stop hunting algos..the price does not leak through levels as bad as the es.. only 30 stocks so you can use a heat map easy// the stocks are traded by humans more so..so the index trades more stable ..
