I'm happy with my full time job/career. I was never looking to be a full time daytrader. I was just going to use the extra cash, for extra cash. I realized that I was looking for extra big cash quickly, which is a disastrous approach in my opinion. Forex, I'll trade higher timeframe without risking a lot of money. This approach will work me.

I've been daytrading off and on for a while (4 years) but I feel now its time to hang it up. I had a strategy, on paper, when not trading It worked. As soon as I applied it, it didnt work. Daytrading, and everything that goes along with has been a part time job. I enjoyed it. Like I said, I feel its time to let it go. My question is, what should I do on my spare time? What have people been doing after they quit?

I have to say this, my strategy applied in forex works, but not in futures....

I decided to spend my time swing trading stocks and playing golf.
The time, effort and stress involved with day trading was affecting my health.
Now I spend an hour or so scanning the markets, watch the open on days I have a set-up, open a position if I get a signal, set my exits and then spend the rest of the day chasing a golf ball.
When I get bored I can always make a few day trades.
