Hi Guys,
i want to trade the open and i am not sure which settings are better?
Sometimes the chart patterns really look a bit different depending on the settings.
Very thankful for your input!
Greetings

Hi,

For Emini instrument I do recomend to use for your settings Rth session as during the session created the most volume..

"Normal' volume during RTH is around 200,000 contracts per hour, whereas outside of RTH normal volume is only around 15,000 contracts per hour (on average) so events/patterns that occur during RTH have much more weight in my opinion

Exactly why do you want to trade the open? In my system reliability of trade setups is minimal at the open until around fifteen minutes afterward when trading patterns solidly establish. Then things are nice and smooth up until the last fifteen minutes to last hour during correction.

The open is horrible... Much easier to trade through the last hour and just as much action usually.

With tick charts ETH are compressed so I see no reason not to have them, I like to see the Globex low and high for possible support & resistance during the RTH.
