How to detect short term directional bias on the ES (TICKS, TRINQ....)
Hi,
since the ES is a stock Index future, I'm thinking of using any possible tool from the stock market to try to detect very short term intraday directional biases.
Here is what I'm thinking of using, please complete the list with what you are using:
I think it depends on what trading plateform you are using. I use Ninjatrader, and its OrderFlow+ really helps me. I use there Volumetric charts and the volume profile to see where the support or resistance is growing from certain price levels. It helps me alot during my scalping plays at the open.
I don't find the TICK, TRIN, or PUT/CALL ratios help me much. I use them to confirm that my charts are in sync.
Thanks, I was more looking for kind of "external" tools, not related to any direct price/volume analysis of the instrument in question.
Something like TICK, TRIN and the like....
