Can someone please guide me on how I can start sim trading the ES? I have NinjaTrader and Ampfutures for data feed.

How can I start practicing? I'm not sure what to do in NinjaTrader to start the process of sim trading ES. How can I start the tick chart and all that jazz?

I had already done what I could using the help file. I still don't know how to sim trade, how to start the ticks and all that. Is there a video that can walk me through all this?

I am a newbie and I find getting started with all this to be overwhelming. Is there a Emini site/course that will speak to me as though I were 10 years old?

approach your broker and have them explain it to you. If they cant or wont you probably wouldnt want them to have your business anyways.

Hey Perry, I had the same question. I felt like I was finding a rock in the Golf of Mexico when I started.
first, you should download the market replay data provider provided by ninja trader. It used to be much more sophisticated but its a piece of cake these days. create a user and pw. it is by far the easiest and best way to import the data to ninja trader.

Then go to "control center" on ninjatrader.
Click on: FILE --> CONNECT ---> MARKET REPLAY CONNECTION

You will get a little widget that allows you to replay the market data you have imported from Market Replay Data.

You can adjust the speed of the ticks.
As far as setting up your tick charts:
Open up FILE ---> NEW ---> CHART

RIGHT CLICK ON THE CHART and open up "INSTRUMENTS"
Click on the ES 3-15 if you are sim trading recent dates.

Right click on the Chart and open up "DATA SERIES"

You will find all the chart data vaiables.
I personally use the HIGH LOW / 555 TIC CHARTS
Let me know if you have any additional questions or how to's.

Remember: Keep your charts simple, follow BigMikes Signature to the tee even if you dont agree with it at the beginning.
