After re-evaluating my approach I've noticed two things:
My current trading journal Crossing The Abyss: An Adventure Guide by Snax ( is very good for tracking the day-by-day view from the trenches and for tracking my short-term goals. I will continue to add daily entries to this existing journal.
My weekly and monthly reviews, as well as some of my longer-term goals and adjustments are getting buried amidst all the other information I keep there.
Therefore, I am creating this as a higher-timeframe goal-tracking journal as well as a brutally-honest review of how well I am working to achieve those goals and how to stay on track over the longer term.
I am focused on extracting the bigger problems that I see, as well as what others point out, in my ideas, approaches, execution, psychology, attitude, and results.
I want to take these problems out from being buried in my daily trading journal and make them first-class citizens with their own spotlight in order to maintain a consistent focus and find solutions to them.
I will create resolutions and track my ability to keep them.
There will be ponderings, ramblings, streams-of-consciousness, and my usual general obtuseness.
Entries will be on a weekly cadence with end-of-month and end-of-year reviews as well.
