I started my live trading journey last sunday and it was a hell of a week. I traded from 8 am to 2 pm, "Day Shift", and from 5 to 9 pm, "Night Shift". At the end of the week 1, I won $1600 and lost $2200, so my total profit was -$600.
I started with $2000, and was conviced that for monday, my account would be at 0, so my firt learning was I am a survivor.
What did I learn this past week?
Traded ES, time frame 5 to 15 minutes, bollinger bands, MACD, Volume, 1 contract, ATM 8 ticks profit, 4 ticks lost
1. Day shift and night shift are two different animals.
2. Day shift:
1. The speed is crazy, lost all $2200 in less than 5 to 10 minutes each time (Today, -$900)
2. Time frames didnt work for me (minutes)
3. Always got in late in the trend
4. Always trying to get even
5. It was terrible
6. Emotions embraced me, trading make me feel alive.
3. Night shift:
1. It is slow, the same speed that SIM
2. Won $1300, 100 the first day, 200 second day, 200 third day, 400 the fourth and the fifth was 500. Every 100
means 1 trade
3. Time frame works !!!
4. I was in peace.
5. Adapt or perish
1. Today I Changed my day shift chart from minutes to ticks (500 to 1500), everything started to make sense
2. I traded two times, and won $200
3. Changed my lost ticks to 8 so the trade can breathe
Week 2 Goals:
1. Focus on night shift
2. Have 2 charts, ticks an minutes
3. Self control on day shift
3. $300 per night shift, no day shift trading
4. Survive week 2
