Well, there were not many good decisions made in 2016 (, despite many attempts at doing so. Probably the best decision in 2016 was doing TST and saving myself likely quite a bit of money. Also, TST has been helping me implement money management and risk management parameters, which I've never really addressed before. I also feel like I have a better read of CL than I did before. It might fit me better than ES, though there are many times very obvious trades to take in ES (my issue is waiting for them, and losing money on the marginal trades).
Lance Beggs has a very interesting perspective on trading, and seems to really understand the struggles of the beginning trader. While I don't think I can trade the way he does, I appreciate his posts. His most recent email suggested a goal-making technique which breaks down goals into ones that are just barely out of reach, instead of far-reaching goals. I've always been on to make goals in outer space, and it has served me well in life. But in trading, these far-reaching goals, I believe, generate too much pressure and cause instability in my mindset during trading; the result being jumping into marginal trade locations. So with that, I will attempt to make very modest goals, and see if I can reach those before making further goals.
Also, I will plan to continue with TST, as well reloading a personal account (is this really a better decision?).
